I finally had a GREAT week at school! Tuesday brought 2 wonderful things that truly made me happy. Remember my last post I told you about my Math test that I got a C on?
Well when I got to class Tuesday she told us that she had gone through our scratch paper and given out partial credit on problems that we did right but maybe just missed one or two little things. That my friends, is exactly my problem in Math! I know what I am doing but tend to make one mistake. So with my partial credit my C turned into an A!!!!! I don't think I have ever got an A on a Math test. I was so damn happy! Partial credit is my new favorite thing :) I also got some more English kudos. I wrote an opinion piece and my Professor really liked it. She even suggested I submit it to a paper! My mother of course squealed with joy and told me I better do it. But we'll see, I just turned in the final draft today. It did give me the push I needed to start exploring careers in the writing field. More on that to come.
Anyway enough bragging :)
I am starting to feel the squeeze of the economy at work. As you all know, retail is doing horrible. We have been doing pretty well but lately it has just been so slow! It is torture to stand around all day. I have a million things on my 'to-do' list but instead I am standing around for 5-8 hours. The big wigs are putting pressure on our District Managers who in turn put it on our store managers. So there are ridulous new 'practices' being implemented. It is so frustrating that they do that. I can tell them what's wrong; it's called a RECESSION! You can tell me to do all sorts of things but at the end of day, if there are no customers it won't make a difference. Hopefully this doesn't continue but we shall see...
Last but certainly not least, Miss Lucy is great :) She is jealous of my laptop and when I ignore her for too long while I am on it, she puts her little paws on my wrist and stares at me. I like to keep ignoring her for as long as I can but I usually start laughing because she gets so worked up. After about 30 seconds she starts whimpering, then she starts hitting my wrists with her paws and for her grand finale she starts hitting my face with her paws! It gets me everytime and I wish I could get it on video! And yes I know I am obsessed with her... leave me alone!
